3D Print Flexible Materials with Bowden Tube

It has been rumored that 3d printing flexible material such as TPU and TPE cannot be extruded with a bowden setup. This is simply not true. Summary:
It’s rumor that printing flexible materials with a bowden extruder setup is impossible. This simply isn’t the case. Here we will change from polycarbonate with a 300 Celsius 3d printing temperature to a flexible TPU in a matter of minutes on Airwolf 3D’s new AXIOM 3d printer. After preheating to polycarbonate temperatures we will use the remove filament command on the LCD to remove the polycarbonate from the hot end and from the extruder assembly . We will then load the TPU using a load filament command on the LCD. The extruder will grab the TPU and push it through the Bowden tube through to the hot end. Use the purge command to purge the new filament out and get rid of the polycarbonate left to the head. Select your file and let AXIOM do the rest.
